in theory, this is a great idea, but throughout this year I have noticed a lapse in customer service with a lot of online retailers, one of the most recent of my orders went something like this, I ordered a CD, they took my money, then heard absolutely nothing, so I contacted them, after 3 days they emailed back to let me know they had this CD on backorder and would take roughly 60 days before they could tell me if they could find it, well what the fuck! a good rule of thumb, if you are going to set up a shop, online or otherwise, is when you list something as “for sale” you have said item in fucking stock, or at least have some kind of sign saying that it is out of stock, so of course I’m not going to wait 60 days for them to pull their thumbs from their asses to let me know they can’t in fact get it, so I requested they cancel the order and refund my money, have they done that? have they fuck! so now I’m going to have to spend ages chasing them up, wasting my time writing fucking emails, until they give me back MY money.
This, of course is not an isolated incident, I am also waiting on a delivery of clothing from another company who doesn’t deem it a necessity to actually have stock or let people know if things are in stock, and that’s been given a 20 day waiting period, and we all know that means “working days” which is bullshit talk for we are going to hold your stuff ransom as long as we want and there’s fuck all you can do about, this company also suggests it has an order tracking facility, which I can’t find and due to the fact I never got an order number on the confirmation email I wouldn’t be able to fucking use anyway, so I am waiting for an email from them to let me know when the fuck anything is going to come, if it’s going to come
