Killing The Music Industry… Good

Right to start this off we have the 2 arguments regarding the legal/illegal distribution of music via the net in MP3 form, people in favour of it will say it allows them to sample new music rather than forking out 10 quid on a CD that potentially is shit because the music industry saw it fit to sign a music act on the merits of their hair style as opposed to their ability to actually write music, and the other argument is those fucking idiot do gooder twats who say its evil and its “killing music” well no, its not killing music, it’s killing the industry that likes to call itself music, it has long been my opinion that real musicians do it purely for the music and whatever enjoyment that brings them, not to overcharge the public for shitty emo hair bands etc. so people who enjoy doing music will still do it, put it out there and the shit industry will die out because it has nothing to con people with anymore. so then we’ve got the cherry picking “pay for mp3″ services where you can legally buy “digital music” well take iTunes for example – as this is the only service of this kind I’ve ever had dealings with. When you buy an album from them it comes at 128 kbps AAC compressed audio which for those of you with little technical know how on this subject means it is about the fifth of the quality it was initially when it was taken from its source CD, however it is not a fifth of the price, in most cases its pretty much the same price as the CD, and if we look past that pretty major flaw it also has “protection” on it which means it’ll only allow you to authorise it on 5 computers, which you may say “well why would you need it on more than 5?” well lets take a look at my CD, in 20 years I’ll still be able to play that, however I am pretty sure I’ll of bought 10 more computers in that time so again, another pretty stupid flaw, so in effect you’re basically paying the same amount as a CD for …yes! fuck all! absolutely fuck all except maybe a slap in the face from Mr Apple and his friends the music industry who don’t understand that when most people download music “illegally” its either because they fuck us over releasing absolute shit with 2 good songs and we have to make sure, or its because it simply is just not available (as was the case when I had to buy something from SHiTunes) never mind the fact they’ve already fucked you over once by selling you an iPod for 200 quid that is destined to break about 5 minutes after the guarantee runs out they want to fuck you over by selling you second rate compressed garbage you can’t play on more than 5 computers, that is of course unless you just burn it to CD and re-rip it but even then it sounds shit cause it was 128 bit rate in the first place, and just to put this into perspective an uncompressed audio file is about 1500kbps so you’re losing a hell of allot. And if you can’t tell the difference between a CD and an iTunes bought song then you really just shouldn’t bother listening to music because those bastards in the music industry are sitting in their big offices sweating like rapists, and anyone that says they are supporting the artists by protesting against “illegal” downloading then you’re fucking idiots, do not buy mp3s just buy the sodding CD that way in 20 years after apple has fucked off into space with virgin to colonise their own planet of appleoids and media study students you can still listen to your favourite songs.
I doubt any illegal activities will kill them anyway, they’ve been saying this since tapes were available to the public yet nothing has been killed. just do yourselves a favour stop charging so much for shit music and lining your arses with diamonds.

Spot on lad, let the fat fucking messes fuck off to space, we’ll still be appreciating real music while our ozone layer collapses in on itself!

Here here, that is all so very true. Long live the enjoyment of music and performance. Send the iShite to the cleaners. Burn apple. Freedom to peer2peer.
