iPad – what a fucking joke!
The inspiration for this post is the new apple product the “iPad” although I am someone who favours the Personal Computer over Macs, this is about the iPad specifically and nothing to do with the whole bollocks “apple Vs. Microsoft” shite even though they are 2 entirely different companies, one favouring software the other more in the hardware market, we won’t go into that right now…
well the iPad, where to begin, I just feel that this is a bullshit product aimed at idiots with too much money, it is like a oversized iPod touch with the same flaw as the iPod touch – NOT ENOUGH FUCKING SPACE! it is also like a macbook but with a shitty touch keyboard probably with an option of buying a real keyboard at a stupid price, apparently it doesn’t multitask, it doesn’t support Flash which of course means, you’re tied into having to buy “apps” from apple exclusively, i.e. no user can make his or her own and post as freeware, it can’t be used as an iPhone so it’s no use there and doesn’t take over the iPhone in that respect, so what are you paying for? well you’re paying for a useless overpriced piece of shit that has multi functionality, without actually doing any of it’s built in functions that well. it does look nice though, but if you want something just to look nice just buy a piece of art, if you want function, get an ipod and a macbook because this product is a fucking joke, and I really feel Mr.Jobs or whoever it was that was responsible for this piece of money grabbing shit is royally taking the piss big time especially because you have to buy all the accessories to make it vaguely usable, and that’s after you’ve forked over £490 to get the version with the most hard drive space (64Gb) you think at that price they’d include a case since that’s where it’s going to spend it’s life after the novelty has worn thin (I estimate 4 days after getting it)
Also I might add, they are bringing out an iBook store to coincide with this.. thing! so then you can attempt to read a book on its super bright screen (at extra cost of course) and burn out your corneas in the process, because if you have ever tried to read a book on a computer screen you will know that you will get 4 pages in and have to close the screen because you have developed a tumour behind one eye and a blinding migraine, and that’s if you haven’t already puked before that point.
so yeah, it’s a great steaming pile of shit so don’t get one, wait till they bring the next version out that will actually have some use rather than simply looking nice.
And don’t think for one moment that I am writing this purely because I dislike apple, because I don’t dislike them and if Microsoft attempted anything this slippery I would be right on here bad mouthing that piece of shit too.
